The “What Touched My Soul” Photography Competition presented by How’s Your Mother Productions (HYMP) gives talented amateur and semi-professional photographers an opportunity to exhibit their work to a wider audience as well as using ‘creative’ advocacy for Mental Health issues.

Photographers are asked to interpret “What Touched My Soul” with an emphasis on the Spirit Of Soul Festival awareness for Mental Health.

The event aims to spotlight ROOMIES ARTSPACE. Launched in 2005 by Archibald prize-winning artist Cherry Hood, Roomies is a non-profit community art studio where boarding house residents and artists with mental illness or disabilities are able to attend workshops, work individually or work with volunteer mentors to develop as practicing artists. http://roomiesartspace.blogspot.com/

The second exhibition of the Spirit of Soul Festival exhibited between the 6th- 21st October 2009 at the Chauvel Cinema Gallery in Paddington.

Each photograph was SOLD for $200.00 a piece with 50% going to the artist and 50% donated to Roomies Artspace.
